Hello, My name is Daniel
Located in the heart of Mulliken, Michigan, Limberlostfarm is the culmination of a lifelong passion for the natural world. My journey began on a large farm in Southeastern Michigan, where I learned the nuances of caring for livestock, poultry, and exotic animals. It was there, guided by my mother’s love for gardening and my father’s lessons on long-term stewardship, that I developed a deep appreciation for “all things living and beautiful.”
A Foundation in Science and Nature My background is rooted in formal education and hands-on experience. While pursuing my horticulture degree at Michigan State University, I had the privilege of managing thousands of rare species within the MSU Botany collection. This academic foundation, combined with years of traveling to study plants in their native habitats, has given me a unique perspective on genetics and preservation.
The English Cream Standard While I share my knowledge here on everything from horticulture to insects, one of my primary projects is with English Cream Dachshunds. With over 13 years of dedicated experience, my goal is to protect the integrity of this exquisite line.
Unfortunately, careless breeding has impacted many pedigrees. I am committed to a different path:
